Classes at the Fitness Factory Sheffield:

 

Boxing Classes for 5-10 years old:

These classes are fun packed energetic workouts, where, through encouragement & praise we get the best out of the children. We start with a fun warm up & then move on to a floor work specifically instructing the children on how to do simple exercises properly. We then show them how to stand & throw a series of combination shots, after which the real fun part begins as we use the boxing bags & pads to practice the shots. Lastly the children are encouraged do some ring work ending with a last exercise game & we always finish with a 'boxer of the week' trophy presentation for the person that has worked to the very best of their ability.

 

Boxing Classes for 10-14 years old:

These classes are similar to the above but with a slightly more intensive workout, the emphasis again being on encouragement & praise. Parents should expect to see very quick improvements in their children's confidence through improved fitness & social inclusion. Again the classes start with a fun workout, moving on to floor work where we work the core of the body. We then teach some shot combinations & footwork, followed by a few rounds on the bags & finishing with some ring work. Again, we always finish with a presentation for the 'boxer of the week' presented to the person that has worked to the very best of their ability.

 

Boxercise/Circuit:

These classes are always a good honest all round workout, working every part of your body - legs, core & upper, through either circuit training or boxercise classes. After an initial warm up, the circuit involves 10-12 different stations & generally will be for 2 minute intervals at each station with a rest in between, giving a complete body workout finishing with a cool down & stretch period. The boxercise session involves floor work, concentrating on strengthening the core of the body, then moving on to 3-4 rounds on the bags, working the upper body, shoulders & legs. At the end there is a cool down & stretch period & then if you wish, you can always stay for some ring work!
